All You Need to Know About the COVID-19 Vaccine

“We wanted to make this booklet as vivid as possible, so that everyone, regardless of their background knowledge in Biology, can really understand the COVID-19 vaccine.”

For their final project on COVID-19 in their Biology class, Sammie Yu ’22 and Dorothy Shi ’22 made a booklet comparing different types of vaccines and exploring how they work. They also delved into the specific type of vaccine produced for the COVID-19 virus.

The inspiration for the project came from a real-life example. Dorothy’s friend was vaccinated several weeks ago to prevent potential infection, and her experience led Sammie and Dorothy to want to learn more about the vaccine. They spent a month doing their research.

“We wanted to try our best to provide useful information to the MHS community, and we wanted to make this booklet as vivid as possible, so that everyone, regardless of their background knowledge in Biology, can really understand the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Dorothy and Sammie.
