As part of their distance learning curriculum, students in English I and II have been responding to writing prompts and then creating “artifacts” that reflect their thinking in creative ways. In this video artifact, Hannah Tran ’22 documents her time with an unlikely quarantine companion.
“This video came from a really random thought,” Hannah says. “I had a tangerine that had been sitting in my room for weeks; I totally forgot its existence at first. However, when I had to write a free-write about an object in my house for my English class, I started noticing the old, dusty tangerine in the corner of my room. Perhaps, I thought, not eating it was a great idea because now I have one more friend to look after me when I’m sad and alone during the quarantine.
